True, Sakura didn't really do anything, but even if she was a genjutsu user as kishimoto clearly intended, she still couldn't have done anything to the likes of the original Snakeboy. But one thing she never did was allow herself to be paralyzed by simple fear. The knly thing that took her self control away was the genjutsu of a Sannin. So yeah, boy rage was a coward until naruto threw his pride in his face.
